In this training, you will learn how to lead a chair yoga class, which is a gentler, slower pace of yoga designed for people of varying ages and physical ability. Yoga provides gentle, stabilizing, and strength building postures enhancing mental clarity. Seniors enjoy the group activities and socialization. They develop more confidence in a casual, nurturing, and fun environment. Yoga breathing increases levels of vitality and enthusiasm and enhances their spirit.

At the completion of this certification training, the student will be able to:
* Describe the aging process and its' effect on muscles, bones,and vital organs. * Describe age-specific postures which are beneficial for seniors * Sequence a chair yoga class for seniors * Sequence a regular gentle yoga class for seniors * Describe signs and symptoms of menopause * Describe symptoms of osteoporosis in women * Sequence a yoga class for wonen in menopause and postmenopause * Describe ways to network and market yoga classes to seniors and women in menopause
